Do you sell pork at the airport? Do you want to buy it when you go back to Hokkaido??
Although it is quite a small airport, but it is the warmest airport that i have ever seen so far.I would like to express my gratitude and I am touched from the services given by all the airport staff that handle this flight D7 539 on 18/3/2018, FUK > KULThe staff assisted me and my mum (on wheelchair) professionally and friendly all the way from checking-in counter until boarding. And i would like to give a full compliment to a staff named OJK (if i am not mistaken) - a pretty girl with a smile all the time! This trip leave me a really good memory, please keep it up!
MoreCity is just 10 minutes away by Subway
How come the checkin counters open two hours before departure when queue for security check is such long? It is efficient system in that you spend your two hours standing in the queue. Just go exactly two hours before departure (not boarding time)
MoreIt's quite and clean airport. Well organized airport.
The airport was well organised and not very confusing. I had only half an hour to walk around inside the airport. I was there early in the morning before the flight arrived. Staff were so friendly and kind to help me. There was nothing to complain. It's a public air transport, small but efficient.
MoreThis terminal is new and is a lot easier then previously. Lots of shops and easy access to subway trains. Ate at a ramen shop before leaving for our flight. Very delicious.
Morelove this city love this airport
Nice airport and is kept in good condition. You can find some souvenir stalls before the security gate for domestic flights. There is an Ramen area where there is almost 10 stalls selling ramen.
MoreI find this airport very convenient. It's located just 5 minutes ride by subway to Hakata Station. Taking a taxi to the central area is also easy and will not cost you that much. Signages in English are clearly posted and easy to read. Information counter and shops for arrival passengers are conveniently located on the ground level. The airport itself is not that large so you can find time to wander around those duty free shops before boarding. Facilities for disabled are great, Japanese-style technology. The only thing I find laking is the check-in time for international passengers. The counter is open just 2 hours before the flight. The queue is quite long though.
Morepros: close to the downtown(5-10mins by subway), clean, brand-new, and great restaurants, gym(anytime fitness-COVID-19?)cons: pricy parking lots(relatively cheaper parking lots are available but you will have to walk, or free shuttle buses if they offer ones. crowded security check.
MoreThe airport location is so good, only 2 stops to Hakata station.
Poor management of immigration and severity check. Checkin counter opens early morning but the immigration did not operate, a lot of passengers have to wait for immigration to open for 45 minutes! Immigration for tourist is poorly managed, created another long queue after long waiting time! WiFi signal is also poor.
MoreI LOVE how close this airport is to the city. In less than 15 minutes, you'll be at Hakata Station or any other nearby place. Plus, the airport itself isn't overly packed.
MoreSmall airport but good system. Pretty fast and easy to move.
The airport is clean! They clean their panel glass by cloth manually. It has its own MRT station and the regular train going to airport is fast as well. Fukuoka Japan is a nice place to visit :) Japan is a great country and so does its all cities are awesome and so does Fukuoka. Strongly recommend to visit this Airport if your are going to Japan and have money and time
MoreThis airport is well designed with all facilities provided... from foreign exchange services to sim cards to information kiosk to transportation to etc etc. It is one shuttle ride & one subway ride to Hakata Station, the main subway and shinkansen station.
MoreDespite everything and the long delay. Great experience going through customs and immigration
MoreOne of the best in-town airport offering a great first impression of the city. Within 25-minute taxi ride to hotels in Tenjin/ Hakata/ Wantanabe-dori, which is great. Wi-Fi is smooth. Money changers, convenience stores and car rental booths are all within sight in the arrival hall.
MoreSizeable international airport with a prime location right next to Hakata and Fukuoka's city center. The good thing is also daily flights to Tokyo, Osaka and nearby countries like Seoul, South Korea and Taipei, Taiwan. Make sure not to forget buying "Hakata Torimon" the must buy cookie for your friends and family back home!
MoreWe arrived the international terminal more than 3 hours prior to our flight. The airline counter was pretty efficient, but the security check was super slow on a Friday afternoon. It would help to have more staff there to alleviate that long wait. We ended up rushing to buy some souvenirs and then scrambled onto our flight out of Fukuoka.
MoreWas easy coming in except the VISA check station, the gal working it was not patient. But there were some really nice bag checkers who put our bags together for us as it took awhile to get out of that long long line! Was also easy leaving when we went to Osaka
MoreSmall but effective and efficient airport, was there too early this morning to enjoy anything.
MoreBest airport in Japan. Only 10mis train ride to the city center.
Great airport, clean and all the sign is very clear
Small but well organized. Not much seats to wait or proper waiting areas prior to check in. There are not direct connection from subway station to international terminal, a shuttle bus is needed which is usually full.
MoreFukuoka international is very straightforward and convenient apart from the fact that the airport operates only between 5:00 -21:40. The airport closes in the night and no one can get in, there are couple of benches outside to sit during the night though.
MoreEfficient, modern airport in Fukuoka. The subway arrives at the domestic terminal and a free bus will transport you to the international terminal. International lounge is small but clean and modern with a modest but tasty snack selection
MoreThe international section is pretty small but very clean, as in most if not all Japanese buildings. The design and ambience are pretty dated. Meaning, they look old and it is like the building has been stuck in the 1990's. Not a bad thing but when you flew into Fukuoka from a major airport, you will feel like you might have probably went back in time! The signage and the staff are very helpful. No issue on getting around the place and to look for your destination from the airport. At the time of this review there were not a lot of people, so it is pretty manageable for our time.
MoreA small but very efficient airport with amenities/ shops/ restaurant enough to cater all your need. The best part of this airport is it is really near to the city centre/ Hakata Station (1 or 2 station away only. But you need to take a free shuttle bus to/from Domestic Terminal Building (where the subway station located) if you are going to/ from International Terminal Building).Tips: 1) You may take taxi as the fare is acceptable since it is near to the city centre. 2) There is a 7-11 at the departure hall. You can get almost everything (snacks/ drinks/ meals/ souvenirs) there.
MoreFukuoka Airport is the principal airport on the island of Kyushu and is the fourth busiest passenger airport in Japan. As of 2017, the airport is the fourth busiest single-runway airport in the world by passenger traffic (after Mumbai, London–Gatwickand İstanbul-Sabiha Gökçen). The airport is surrounded by residential areas; flights stop at 10 p.m. at the request of local residents and resume operation at 7 a.m.
MoreWell the City is so near and getting out of the airport was a breeze. Sadly when you want to go home the staff are over taxed. And get this, your APAC card does nothing here, join the queue right at the back thank you ma'am/sir! So, pretty mixed feelings about this airport. Perhaps I've been spoilt by other small airports in Japan like sendai or okinawa but the departure process was a little bit of a pain. Please hit like if you think this review was useful to you
MoreIt's pretty good. Been to far, far worse.
Straightforward n helpful staff. Right across the bus shuttle to/fro the domestic and international airports.
MorePoor for immigrationMy flight was 7.55 but immigration was open on 6.55 and many flights depart in morning so long waiting queues
MoreSmooth procedure ...staff is helpful...free WiFi is added advantage ...+ Charging points
MoreThis airport not open 24 hours but the city centre just nearby. So you got to plan your trip properly if your flight early morning or late night.
MoreThe security staff at the international terminal building all get poker faces, hardly speak, and they are extremely rude. The airport itself is very well kept.
MoreVery cosy and you can get anything easily.
As usual with every Japan’s Airport, they show the world that size of airport doesn’t matter. As they would have almost anything that possible be. And of course top notch service.
MoreA nice and convenient airport.
DO NOT LINK TO SUBWAY TO HAKATA STATION.You need to take sutter bus service to Domestic Airport to catch subway to Hakata Station only 2 stations fee 210 yen.Or take airport bus to Hakata Station fee 270 yen.If your flight departs Fukuoka after 8 AM. You can catch the 1st subway schedule to Airport. If not, take taxi better.
MoreEasiest transit to an airport I've ever had. From the Fukuoka tower on the beach to the airport was only 20 minutes! Lots of gift shops inside and outside the gates. I didnt see any convenience stores though. I was running late and had to stop at a souvenir stand to grab something.
MorePretty nice and compact airport. There is Ichiran and Starbucks after checking in at the domestic terminal. Also before checking in, you can visit the observation deck at level 4 of the domestic terminal.
MoreIce cream great
This is a well organized international airport. Take the metro and ride there in short time. Domestic and International terminals are seperated but there is a connecting bus free of charge. Much more relaxed than Tokyo.
MoreThe airport is very near to the city center. Very convenient.
For the first time I got bad service in Japan. It was my flight back to KL today. This lady at the boarding zone really didn't get what I said about my hand carry and ended up telling me to out of queue. Maybe lack of English or just bad attitude.
Morelocated near the fukuoka city centre, tenjin and hakata. transportation access is good, and there is connecting highway bus to other cities in kyushu. however, carrying large luggage might not be so comfortable and easy using either bus or subway.previously the check in process for the international arrival is very tedious as luggage screening procedure before check in counter becomes a bottleneck.
MoreI just love it here
Nice airport. Quite easy to get to the city. Need to take the subway from the domestic terminal. Free shuttle bus is provided at bus stop#1 just right outside. Shuttle bus is very regular n takes about 15 min to get between terminals.
